We know parenting can be tough and we want you to know that you’re not alone. Truly Mama is your guide to everything baby, everything mom, and everything you. From planning to pregnancy to life after your baby is born, we are your trusted resource. Let us help you navigate motherhood.
Who are we? We are moms. We are your neighbors. We are your cousins. We are your friends. We’ve been there and we’re here to tell you that, it’s going to be OK. And even when it’s not OK (because motherhood means real life), we’re still here for you.
We’ve watched anxiously to see that little stick give us the result we were hoping for. We’ve cried alongside you when it didn’t—and then, maybe, even when it did. We’ve dove head-first into the baby registry. We’ve researched the strollers and the car seats. We’ve sorted through the sunscreens and the cribs. We’ve watched in wonder—and maybe a twinge of sadness—as our little one took that first step or said, “Mama” for the first time. We’ve wiped snotty noses and changed countless dirty diapers. We’ve watched our bodies change in ways we didn’t even know were physically possible. We’ve developed life-long aversions to those foods that we couldn’t stand when morning—excuse me, all-day sickness—reared its ugly head. We’ve been through the labors, and the epidurals, and the C-sections, and the stitches. We’ve been through the adoptions and all the beautiful ways you have to grow a family.
But most of all, we’ve been through that moment, when you finally look down to hold your baby in your arms—and it all becomes worth it. Welcome to motherhood. We’re glad you’re here.
From getting through morning sickness to if you really need to throw a big birthday bash, we’re here with the low-down on those first years of motherhood.
And because being a mom means facing a lot of decision-making–and frankly, sometimes, what feels like a bit too much decision-making–we’re here to help you wade through your options. You want the best for your baby and we’re here to make sure you get it. We’ve reviewed the playpens, car seats, diapers, strollers (and the attachments like fans and covers), sunscreens and bug sprays to help you find the fit that’s right for your family. If our babies love a product, we want to share the love. And if they don’t, let’s talk about that, too! We’re all about transparency and no mom should have to deal with a product they can’t trust.
